08 Jun 07 I love a game’s community.

After a bout of boredom, I decided to begin playing the Warcraft 3 campaign again. As I started playing all the nostalgia from the golden years of my Warcraft 3 experience came forward.

At that stage I was an intermediate/beginner War3 multiplayer (Night Elves FTW). I played a lot of games in the South African War3 community. I came to know most of the players in our small community (although few knew me). After DOTA arrived, the whole 1v1 scene broke up because of a lack of players.

I still remember the awesome time I had, just like the time when I played WoW. Our guild was so insignificant, yet we remained together and had a lot of fun playing it. I came to knew a lot of players on my realm (although few knew me). I’m very observative when it comes to these things.

This all leads to one thing. I love getting enthralled in a game’s community. This has obviously led to me thinking how I can recreate that feeling in any type of game… I am still thinking.
