I used to delete everything until about two, three months ago, when my one internet friend told me he never did. And I wanted to try it. I don't think it has ever helped me, archiving all my mail. But maybe one day I will ask ''hey, what was that other person's name again...?'' and then maybe I will be sad, for the mail containing his name is already gone... or I will rejoice, because I will find the mail in the archive.

I never delete my g(mail) because you never know when you might need that old email.

What I do is use the Gmail "archive" feature and archive all old mail so that it doesn't display in my inbox. This way, my inbox is always clean and if I need to find an old mail, I just search for it in the archives :)
