Interesting Tweekly.fm trend
I occasionally check Twitter’s stream for chatter on Tweekly.fm and see what kinda of people use Tweekly.fm. An interesting trend I’ve started seeing is, is that people join Twitter specifically because of Tweekly.fm.
I developed Tweekly.fm because I had Twitter and wanted my followers to see what I was listening to. I never thought about it the other way around. People use last.fm and want to show others what they are listening to. Browsing around the net, they see Twitter and realise, “hey, I can use this.”
It got me thinking. Based on my previous post on how Twitter is becoming the “backbone” of the web. People want a service to show what they are “doing”. It is human nature to share, in the hope that we find people like us. And so far, Twitter is doing a fine job in providing that service. It brings data and information together, connecting things and people.
