When I switched to OAuth there were some users who couldn’t sign up properly. It told them that their session get destroyed before they could sign up.
I think I might have fixed it now. I was storing session data on “different domains”. All the Tweekly.fm tweets point to “http://tweekly.fm”. When you return from the authentication, I pointed it to “http://www.tweekly.fm”. (note the “www”). This meant all the session data was stored at the wrong places which gave you the reply that the “session was destroyed”. I simply added a small redirect.
If you signed up during the past week, and you got a similar message, just try again. You should be able to re-authenticate with Twitter!
There is still one hurdle left… This Saturday, the tweets will run with basic auth and OAuth combined. Hopefully, it will all go according to plan! Because the tweets run so long (an hour), I plan on sending it a tad earlier (round about 11-ish MGT +2).
Also, hands up: Would you rather want Tweekly.fm to send on #musicmonday? If so, what time? GMT?
