Twitter weekday tags: from #musicmonday to #followfriday

I’m loving the way certain days of the week are being assigned Twitter hashtags.

The first popular one was the use of #followfriday. Most twitter users know this. It’s simple and easy. You simply suggest people to follow on friday.

The other popular that started trending a month or 2 ago is #musicmonday. Who doesn’t like music? Tell your followers what you are listening to. My favourite weekly tag.

If I am correct, #thankfulthursday started trending today for the 1st time. It’s simple. Say what you are thankful about.

The rest of the week is still open. No BIG tag have propogated on that day.

Tuesday – Since it also has a “T”, who knows what it can be used for? #trytuesday?

Wednesday – Wednesday is probably going to be the new day tag that’s going to start trending. My personal favourite is of course #wtfwednesday, but it might not have the propensity to reach trending status. I’ve seen #winewednesday too.

Saturday – #sadsaturday? #sillysaturday? #sexysaturday? #sportsaturday? I think #sportsaturday has a real chance to start trending.

Sunday – Another “s”. #sorrysunday? Sunday IS after all a holy day in some religions. Ask forgiveness? I’ve seen #sorrysaturday though.
