I keep forgetting that this blog is also about my music endeavours! I just keep posting about my websites and such.
Me and brother, who each have our own music projects (see pages above for my stuff and Sparkyboy on MySpace for my bro’s 8-bit music), has decided to finally put something together with vocals.
We didn’t go out to make it a live band. We just want to make music because we like doing it. If that means adding loads of electronic stuff, then so be it. We also don’t try to subscribe to any genre, rather just make music when it sounds cool.
Considering that my bro is in China, we could only make about 3 tunes so far. “We Are In Space” is what I like to call ghetto, space synth. “Bears” is indie dance rock-y and “Sands of Tide” is an ambient electro tune.

Some general updates

I haven’t tested Tweekly.fm with OAuth implementation, but by the looks of it, the code looks about right. I’ll probably test it soon. OAuth won’t go live until I am able to sit by and see if all goes according to plan. Tweekly.fm updates runs on Saturday night. I won’t be here to test it and sit around to see that things go down without a hitch. So, the implementation will have to wait a week or two.
I’m also considering moving the updates a tad earlier (can’t find the link now, but Twitter slows down on the hour because of automation services). The other option I’m considering is moving Tweekly.fm to early monday morning and affixing the popular #musicmonday tag to it. It is the spirit of music after all.
I’m also thinking about perhaps purposefully lengthening the script that sends all the tweets. The influx of users looking at the userpages is seriously slowing the server. I could always upgrade the server, but I don’t have the money. Which reminds me, I’m still looking for advertisers! This past Tweekly.fm tweet-run, it got 30000 pageviews alone.

A new song: Crag
A few weeks (before the university started again), I made a new song. I once tried to make it more drum-and-bassy, but it turned out to be loads more bassy. I can’t upload it on MySpace (file too big), so I decided to put on moi site. My best work in my eyes is Empty Night Sky and I feel Crag is up there. I really love it. Pump up your stereo (or Ipod or something) and go crazy.

Bwhuaha! I stumbled upon Paris Hilton’s MySpace. What a joke. That girl is so full of herself. It makes me nauseous. There is loads and loads of pics of her on it. To top it off, she has her own song playing in the background. Go check it out.

For the past 2 days now, I have been trying to upload my new song (the first track on The Distance Chasse), Empty Nighy Sky onto MySpace. It has been so much grief. It just won’t upload. It. JUST. WONT. It is really getting on my nerves! Gruuarrggh.
So yeah, when MySpace has an error it reverts back to the frontpage and there it was. A Link.
